Training Consultant

The Training Consultant will be responsible for providing a wide array of training services that help end users with product onboarding and optimization. This includes: identification of short- and long-term training needs and solutions; design, development, and delivery of training; program management; and program evaluation and enhancement.



  • Serve in a consultative capacity with internal and external stakeholders to identify key training opportunities to meet the organization’s and/or client’s objectives.
  • Conduct various needs analyses, including: competency-based analysis, knowledge and skills analysis, and job and task analysis.


Instructional Design and Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement new curricula using standard ID systems and models.
  • Design and produce internal and external learning materials in a variety of formats, including documentation, job aids, quick reference guides, videos, and webinars.
  • Conduct formative and summative evaluations and recommend program changes.



  • Deliver a variety of functional and technical product training programs.
  • Aggregate and analyze Level 1 and Level 2 evaluation data and recommend program changes.


Program Management

  • Manage and develop training plans, schedules, project time estimates, resource plans, budget allocation, and/or status reports to meet the prescribed objectives.
  • Identify and monitor risk factors, issues, and action items in order to maintain timelines to achieve agreed upon deliverables.
  • Lead project meetings, follow up on deliverables, address potential issues, and coordinate communications for projects.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5 or more years’ experience in the training and knowledge management field
  • Proficiency in instructional design and training delivery
  • Excellent consultative, project management, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to research, analyze, and simplify complex information
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to address training & knowledge needs
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies
  • This position requires up to 50% travel.
